Complete attention is given to each client in a safe and supportive environment so the client can obtain the best results possible in the quickest amount of time.

Will I loose weight taking the Barre Routine?

YES! More importantly, you will loose body size as well! By attending Barre Routine Classes on a consistent basis, your muscles will become more efficient at BURNING FAT! Strength training exercises increase fuel-burning and increased metabolic rate. You will build lean muscle mass which burns the most calories even while your body is at rest. How often should I take class?

You will feel a difference in your body in just a few one hour sessions. In order to see a rapid change in your body, we encourage clients to commit to a minimum of three to five classes per week. If you are consistent with classes you will see a marked difference in as little as 4 weeks, incredible change in 8 weeks, and a whole new body in 12 weeks!!!! This class really works!

Why do you use a ballet barre? Do I need dance experience?

The ballet barre is used to stabilize and align the body properly. The barre also allows for a deeper muscle contraction. The ballet barre enables the client to increase strength, leverage, and flexibility including deep stretching to elongates the muscles.

The entire class is set to music that helps to inspire and motivate you. While many of the exercises are ballet inspired, there are no choreographed sequences and a dance background is not required to enjoy the class.

I don’t want to “bulk up” when I work out so how can the Barre Routine keep my muscles lean?

The Barre routine incorporates precise, high repetition movements using no weight or very light weights. Once a muscle group is worked the muscles are thoroughly stretched to create lean muscle. The Barre routine is also very effective on flexibility because of the strength and stretch exercises that are done throughout the class.

I have heard of many “Lotte Berk fusion classes” How does the Barre Routine see such great results?

Many celebrities are in the news for crediting their amazing bodies to fusion classes based on” the Lotte Berk method” and it is true. The exercises are effective in creating an amazing physique. Dancers have known this secret for many decades.

How do you think a ballerina can extend and hold their legs so high? What about their amazing long lean bodies?

Dancers use the Barre Routine to train, and condition and obtain amazing results.

The Barre Routine instructors have studied dance for years and many have graduated with dance degrees. Our instructors have used this form of exercise as their dance warm up since childhood. Many have mentored under Prima Ballerina Germaine Pacuad and former “Lotte Berk Method” instructors. Together they have collaborated from their 50 + years of dance, yoga and Pilates experiences and have designed a routine that is safe, effective, and efficient.

Will the Barre Routine strengthen my core?

Yes! It is the Barre Routine philosophy that strengthening the core is the most important part of exercise. Without a strong core, muscles in the back and major joints can become stressed and more prone to injury. The Barre Routine incorporates the core in every exercise. Even if you think you may be working another muscle group, the core is always engaged and participants are encouraged to tighten and engage the abdominal muscles throughout the class.

I am out of shape so can I still take class?

Anyone, from any fitness level or age, can take class. Our studio is non competitive and supportive of other’s challenges. The instructor will offer basic modifications for the exercises enabling each client to get just the right workout for their fitness ability.
